We have created a quick, effective way to get license plate recognition with Eagle Eye Network (EEN) cameras. This is a cloud-to-cloud integration, so there’s nothing to install or fiddle with on-premise! Watch our 3 minute video of Plate Rec ALPR with Eagle Eye!
Step 1.1. After you sign up on Plate Recognizer, go to app.platerecognizer.
Step 1.2. Select Integrate with camera software.
Step 1.3. Click on EEN Integration blue button.
Please wait up to 12 hours for us to approve your account for EEN Integration. We only approve accounts with a valid business email address.
Once account is approved, you will receive an email notification.
Step 1.4. After your account has been approved for EEN Integration, go to app.platerecognizer.com/activate/een/
Step 1.5. Enter your EEN Camera ID or ESN. This ESN is an eight digit hexadecimal string (e.g. 1006073b). Go to Camera Settings > Information to get the ESN.
Step 1.6. Enter the Country Code(s), such as us-fl for Florida or gb for the United Kingdom. Full Country Codes can be found here.
Step 1.7. Click Submit. After you submitted the Camera ID/ESN info, you will see the list of ESNs that are registered with your account.
Step 2.3. Select the camera(s) you would like to enable for license plate recognition.
Step 2.4. In the Share Email Address field, enter [email protected]
Step 2.5. Click on Save Share.
Step 2.6. Click on green Save Changes button in lower right corner.
Please make sure that motion detection or line crossing is correctly set up for the shared camera. This is important to ensure accurate ALPR and to minimize the time delay to get your ALPR results.
In most cases, the Master Motion Object Size is large, to help differentiate the vehicle’s motion from say a dog or human walking by.
Please consult Eagle Eye Support Portal on the best ways to set up motion detection.
Feel free to refer to our guide for Camera Setup for Best ALPR.
The best way to view the ALPR results is on ParkPow! Our sister company, ParkPow provides a full ALPR Dashboard and Parking Management solution so you can:
You can optionally use webhooks to forward the ALPR results with your existing application or system.
Step 3.1. Go to ParkPow.
Step 3.2. Click to sign in with your Plate Recognizer account.
That’s it! You’re done!
