Camcloud Integration

Plate Recognizer Stream can be easily configured to integrate directly into Camcloud. Stream runs on-premise on a wide variety of hardware and connects to the camera via the RTSP URL.

Configure Stream

Step 1.1 Ensure the camera you wish to use for plate detection is connected to Camcloud and configured for 24×7 continuous recording.

Step1.2 Open the Integrations menu for this camera and copy the Webhook URL to your clipboard.

Step 1.3 Now you must configure Plate Recognizer to publish its LPR data to Camcloud. Open the Plate Recognizer config.ini file and insert the following Camera Block on the right.

NOTES:

Refer to our list of regions.
If subscription has Vehicle Make Model, then set mmc=true. Else, remove mmc line in config file.
Set detection_mode=vehicle to detect vehicles without plates.

Step 1.4 Now you must configure Camera Block on the right.

NOTES:

The ULR is copied from Step 1.2. So just cut/paste that into the URL line.

Plate Recognizer is now ready to push LPR detection results to Camcloud, making all your LPR data searchable alongside the 24×7 video recording.

Step 2.1 To view LPR events inside Camcloud, simply open up the Event Explorer.

You’ll have a new LPR module in the filtering.

Here you can enter any type of value for a license plate and even use wildcard matches.

In addition you can look for specific metadata such as color, make, model, etc. (requires Stream MMC add-on license).

To see the available search options click the help icon in the filtering.

Step 2.2 Click on any image to get the further details and the corresponding video.

You can also download the info by clicking “This event”.
