Plate Recognizer is pre-integrated with ContaCam Software. This page offers tips on how to:
Step 1. Sign up on Plate Recognizer.
Step 2. You will be given a Plate Recognizer API Cloud Token in app.platerecognizer.com/accounts/plan/
Step 3. In ContaCam window, select the camera you connected to your computer.
Step 4. Click the Settings menu and select Camera Advanced Settings. A window like this appears:
Step 5. Click on Plate Recognizer button in lower right corner. The window below should appear:
Step 6. Enter your Plate Recognizer API Token in the field. Indicate the location of the Plate Recognizer SDK if you are using the SDK. Enter the Region code(s) if you want.
Please note that the Free Trial API Cloud Plan has a 1 lookup per second limit. If you send more than 1 lookup per second, the other image(s) within that second will be ignored by our Snapshot API Cloud.
The Advanced Camera Settings page now looks like this with the fields filled out. In your case, MY_PLATERECOGNIZER_TOKEN will be replaced with your actual API Token, of course.
You can further edit the arguments with more params allowed by the API such as enabling MMC. The params are specified in the CURL format.
That’s it! You have successfully integrated ContaCam with Plate Recognizer.
Step 7. Ensure Motion REC is enabled like in the image below.
To confirm if requests are being sent on motion detection, Uncheck “Hide window of executed command” in advanced settings.
You should see a short CMD popup that shows the results from the SDK whenever a request is made.
That’s it! You have successfully integrated ContaCam with Plate Recognizer.

Step 2. Set the time delay that will elapse between the first motion frame and the frame sent to Plate Recognizer. For example, if a car enters the camera view and gets detected, you can estimate by testing when the license plate will be in view. That time delay is what you want to enter in “Drop shorter than” parameter.

Option 1: View ANPR results on Plate Recognizer Dashboard.
To access the Dashboard, just sign in to your Account page: app.platerecognizer.com/accounts/plan/
Option 2: View ANPR results in ContaCam Browser. To do this, click on View Tab and then select Recordings Browser.
